Welder's Shield 3M Speedglas G5-01 with G5-01TW Filter and ADFLO System

The 3M Speedglas G5-01 welder's shield was developed based on extensive welding experience. The shield is durable and sturdy, adaptable to your needs or situation. It reliably protects against radiation, sparks, and splatters. There is an option to extend the protection zones of the shield with additional accessories.

New technology natural color light filter allows seeing the welding work being done in true color. Thanks to this filter, you can choose one of three darkening shades. Human eyes are not adapted to react to constant light flickering, which is characteristic of point welding. The G5-01TW welding filter includes an intermediate 5 darkness setting designed for point welding. This intermediate darkness level helps protect the eyes from fatigue experienced during prolonged welding. If the welding arc is not ignited within 2 seconds, the light filter will switch from the intermediate 5 darkness to the standard 3 darkness level.

The shield has an effective top-class respiratory protection system. Thanks to the new air distribution system, welders can direct the airflow toward their face or the shield, as well as adjust the amount of air coming from the top vent or from two side vents. Having greater control over settings, welders can balance the cooling effect of the airflow while reducing streams that could dry out the nose or eyes.

The welding shield ensures full work comfort as it can be adjusted to your needs, and the new integrated airflow controllers allow you to set the airflow as per your preference. For metal processing jobs, the G5-01 shield can easily be converted into a protective shield with clear glass. Unlock the two side fasteners and lighten the shield's weight by up to 36%. All handles and fasteners are easily accessible and do not require removing the shield to adjust them.

The shield’s light filter can be paired with your smart device via Bluetooth using the “3M Connected Equipment” app. You can program and save up to 10 different modes. Set your most frequently used filter darkness, sensitivity, delay, and other settings to save time by switching only between saved modes instead of adjusting all settings. The app makes it easy to record and monitor the maintenance journal of your welding shield. The app provides statistics including: when the ADF filter was first activated; hours the light filter was turned on; when the filter was in light or dark mode; the number of on-off cycles.

This shield is supplied with the 3M ADFLO air filtration device. The award-winning compact design ADLO air filtration device is specifically designed to meet the needs of welders. Constant airflow ensures the delivery of filtered air, which dissipates heat and dries sweat. Using the ADFLO device all day will provide better protection and comfort. The slim design of the device is convenient to use in restricted spaces. Its ergonomic model is designed to meet the needs for ease, adaptability, and easy-to-use respiratory protection. The 3M Speedglas G5-01 air shield is equipped with the Adflo High Altitude air filtration device, which is adapted to work at altitudes of 0-3000 meters above sea level (0-1500 meters when using a gas filter).

The constant speed of the air stream is 170 liters per minute, regardless of the battery condition or the particulate filter load. If you need to work in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, you can increase the airflow to 200 liters per minute by pressing the power button a second time.
