Welding Helmet Tecmen TM 1000 with PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator)

The Tecmen TM 1000 helmet with Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is a modern solution in the field of welding. The welding helmet is suitable for MMA – TIG – MIG/MAG welding, cutting, grinding, and inspection. It meets EN 12941 standards and has TH3 protection class (protection from polluted air penetration effective at 99.8%). The only button in the helmet is multifunctional and performs the device's on/off functions, as well as switches between two air flow modes: 170 l/min and 210 l/min. The device contains a removable lithium-ion battery, ensuring more than 9 hours of battery life at 170 liters of air per minute. Battery charging time from full discharge is about 3 hours.

The foldable light filter will be of interest to professional welders who frequently use angle grinders during their work. The high optical class 1/1/1/1 combined with Real Lens technology ensures more natural color recognition and operation accuracy. The maximum viewing field size is 107x75 mm, and the side “windows” ensure the best visibility and safety during operation.

The ergonomic headband and low weight make the helmet very comfortable even for long wear. The comfortable and lightweight body is made of highly durable nylon, which does not emit harmful substances during the welding process. The helmet's design is well thought out. When the welder breathes, air flows move away from the cartridge, preventing the filter from fogging.

Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) – a forced air supply system. The system is designed to filter harmful substances in the air. This device combines compactness, ease of use, autonomy, and the ability to provide a continuous flow of cleaned air to the welder. Depending on the working conditions and the layout of the work area, the filter contamination rate may vary. In case of high contamination level, the device automatically increases the air supply speed to the maximum, and when the contamination level is critical, it starts to emit an audible signal, doubling with a vibration response, informing the worker about the need to replace the filter.

Digital filter control offers several additional benefits:

• The ability to precisely set and control filter parameters: exact values of darkness degree, sensitivity (SENSITIVITY), and delay time to return to the initial state (DELAY) are displayed digitally.
• “Passive” mode - setting the highest sensitivity “10” forces the filter into a darker state. This can be useful in some “complicated” cases: monitoring welding processes when the arc radiation is minimal or something is blocking it; research and laboratory equipment with constant but variable dimming; working in negative temperatures when the liquid crystal reaction time is prolonged, etc.
