PONTIG 200 AC/DC LCD is an inverter welding machine designed for aluminium welding using AC TIG current, or for steel and stainless-steel welding using DC TIG current. MMA welding mode is also available.

The unit features a modern LCD control panel. All functions and parameters are set intuitively. The machine is equipped with a PFC (power factor correction) filter. The PFC function ensures higher power-source energy efficiency, greater tolerance to supply-current fluctuations, lower requirements for mains protection (fuses), and fewer disturbances.

The main application areas are light and medium-duty welding:

• Aluminium structures, vehicles, advertising, etc.
• In the food industry and stainless-steel equipment.
• In the chemical industry and pipelines.
• In craft work and the production of light steel and stainless-steel products.
• In yacht building, etc.

An optional FANCOOL LC-30 liquid cooler can be purchased for this machine, allowing the use of water-cooled torches and increasing current capacity, especially for aluminium welding. The cooler is not included in the set; for purchase, please contact the MasterCity.lt consultants.

The PONTIG 200 AC/DC LCD welding machine welds using the DC TIG method with either continuous or pulsed current, with a pulse frequency of up to 200 Hz. For TIG AC welding, the frequency and balance can be adjusted to achieve maximum aluminium welding efficiency while maintaining weld quality. For the MMA method, the „HotStart“ and „ArcForce“ functions can be used.

PONTIG 200 AC/DC LCD includes all additional functions required for professional TIG welding (gas pre-flow and post-flow, current upslope, crater fill, etc.).

Welding machine functions:

• Hot Start – a function that increases the welding current at arc ignition when welding with MMA electrodes and helps prevent them from sticking at the start of welding.
• Arc Force – a function that ensures greater arc stability when welding with MMA electrodes in forced positions.
• Impulse – a pulsed arc welding function that allows welding thin components with lower heat input and achieves an excellent aesthetic appearance.
• Pre Gas + Post Gas – a function for setting gas flow time before and after welding to achieve high-quality weld seams.
• Thermal cut – protects the welding machine from damage due to overheating.
• AC Balance – a function that optimizes the cleaning and penetration effect when TIG AC welding aluminium components.
• Three different TIG AC waveforms: square, triangular, or sinusoidal.
• Spot – spot welding function intended, for example, for thin components.
