Why WTL TIG 200E AC/ DC Pulse?

When purchasing a welding machine, in addition to welding quality, the device's weight, dimensions, and long cables are always relevant. Working conditions are not always predictable, but in work, a 3-meter power cord, electrode holder, and ground cable will certainly come in handy. Moreover, this welding inverter weighs 8.5kg.

A high-quality 4-meter long SR-17 class TIG torch has one of the most comfortable designs in its class. The torch is protected with rubber and insulated with leather from the holder's side, which is necessary for comfortable work. The leather side wraps around the hand, providing better control of the torch during welding. A very important feature of the torch is the quickly replaceable button. Replacing a faulty button or switching to a button with current change takes just a couple of seconds.

The duty cycle is 35% at 40°C! What does this mean? While other TIG welding machines declare their duty cycle at 20°C or do not specify the temperature during testing, WTL conducts tests under the most challenging conditions. The reality is that at your workshop's temperature, this workhorse will be able to work non-stop without turning off.

The welding machine has an IP23 protection class, its casing is soft and shock-resistant.

As before, we grouped the parameters into three groups.

1. Initial work settings (these parameters are usually set once):

• Current or Peak Amps – Working welding current.
• Pre Gas – Gas supply before welding starts, to fill the torch with gas.
• Post Gas – Gas supply after welding.
• Start Amps – Starting welding current.
• End Amps – Finishing welding current.
• Up Slope – Time during which the current rises from starting (Start Amps) to working current (Peak Amps or Current).
• Down slope – Time during which the current falls from working (Peak Amps or Current) to finishing current End Amps.

2. Pulse setting:

• Base amps – Lower pulse current.
• Pulse Frequency – Pulse frequency in hertz HZ. Indicates how many times the current changes from Base Amps to Peak Amps per second.
• Peak on Time or Pulse ratio – It's a ratio that indicates what percentage of the time, the higher current Peak Amps is active. Measured in percent %.

3. AC aluminum welding:

• Balance (Balance) – this parameter controls the "cleaning effect". Adjusted from -5 to 5, where 0 is the golden middle.

What have we forgotten to mention?

This model works in HF and LIFT modes. HF (High Frequency Ignition) ignites the arc at a distance, but some jobs don't allow its use because it can damage, for example, medical equipment connected to the same network. In such cases, TIG LIFT is used.

What is 2T/4T? This is a frequently asked question by our customers. The equipment typically works in 2T mode – the arc lights as long as the torch button is pressed. 4T mode works differently – pressing the button once lights the arc until the next press. Is it that simple?

MMA mode operation:

• Change the efficiency of the Hot Start system from 0 to 100%. Set to 0 if the current at the beginning burns through the sheet.
• Change the Arc Force system from 0% (off) to 100%. Ensures a stable arc that does not extinguish.

All settings are saved after turning off. Don't be afraid that someone accidentally changes your settings while the welding equipment is turned off.
