ESAB OK Weartrode 62 welding electrodes 4.0mm 4.2kg
Code: 100026404Manufacturer-
Electrode Ø d x l: 4.0 x 350 mm
Current: 115 – 200 A
The hardfacing electrode forms a deposit that contains a high amount of carbides in an austenite matrix. This electrode is specially designed for welding edges, used under conditions of abrasive wear, such as earth moving and excavation equipment, various screws, hammers, mixers and crushers. Since there is minimal mixing between the base and electrode metals, high hardness of the deposit is achieved from the first layer of welding. Recommendations: preheating is usually not necessary, except when welding massive parts. In those cases, preheating up to 200 °C is desired.
Mechanical properties of the deposited metal:
Hardness of the deposit after welding: 60–62 HRC (when deposited on carbon steel without preheating)
1st layer: 62 HRC
Mechanical processing: grinding
Resistance to impact wear: very good
Resistance to abrasive wear: excellent
