The most significant impact on the operation of a battery is temperature. When the air cools down to minus 20-25°C, any battery will experience additional stress, which will shorten its lifespan. As the air cools down to -20°C, the electrolyte thickens, the chemical reaction necessary for energy production slows down, and the battery's capacity decreases. Additionally, the oil in the engine thickens, making it harder to start the vehicle. When the temperature drops to 0°C, the battery loses about 35% of its power, and if the temperature falls further, the power decreases by an additional 50%. Starting the engine in low temperatures uses more electrical energy. It is for these reasons that batteries cause the most problems in winter. This battery charger is designed for charging 12-24V lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte. The charging progress can be observed on the built-in ammeter. The Strom charger has two charging modes: normal charging, when batteries need to be charged faster or if the battery is of a larger capacity and is depleted, and maintenance (trickle) charging, when it is necessary to charge a partly charged battery or batteries of smaller capacity. The switch allows easy setting of 12V or 24V charging voltage. Strong pole clamps ensure optimal contact with the battery terminals. A convenient handle is designed for safe transportation of the charger.
