Bessey D114 figural shears are best suited for performing small, tight radius cuts near the edge of sheet metal. Thanks to their intricate blade shapes, these shears can easily cut very narrow figures and curves. The handles are covered in plastic (D114 series). The head of the shears is very thin.

Right-hand shears are designed and constructed in such a way that they effectively cut right-hand radii (i.e., from left to right). It is often thought that right-hand shears are for right-handed people and left-hand shears are for left-handed people. But it is not so. It's the opposite. If a right-handed person were to cut a radius with right-hand shears (see above, from left to right), the motion would be directed outwards from the wrist. With left-hand shears (radius from right to left) - towards the inside of the wrist. This is significantly more ergonomic.
