The wire is designed for welding without gas (FCAW). It creates a coating that protects the weld from oxygen. The reel is hermetically packed. Intended for use in outdoor, construction, and manufacturing environments.
Self-shielded flux cored welding is performed with direct polarity - plus to "ground", minus to the torch (marked on the package as "DC-").
