High-quality automatic and precise microprocessor battery charger Powermat PM-PM-30T is well suited for both professional service stations and home use. The device can charge batteries at 12V and 24V. It features a voltage maintenance function. Charging the battery at low current will restore the battery's service life, and it will be continuously charged to its maximum voltage value. The device includes a convenient section for the power cable and charging cables.
The BOOST function helps to start the engine if the battery is fully discharged. The charger charges the battery with a high 30A current for 300 seconds, so a quick charge rapidly increases the battery voltage.
Features of the battery charger:
- Reverse polarity protection – blocks energy transmission into the output cables if reverse connection is detected.
- Short-circuit protection – output cable energy will be blocked.
- Overvoltage protection – protection activates when the charging voltage is other than the set parameter.
- Battery diagnostics function – the charger continuously monitors the battery condition and can report a charging error.
- Overheating protection – the charger will reduce the charging current and even turn off completely if overheating is detected. Once cooled down, the charger will turn back on automatically.
8-stage charging:
- 1st stage - diagnosis. Diagnosis of the battery, its charging status, and the correctness of connections between the battery and charger.
- 2nd stage - desulfation. Desulfates the sulfated battery. Low voltage and high current impulse charging helps remove sulfate from the battery, thus restoring its original capacity.
- 3rd stage - analysis. Checks if the battery is damaged and if it can accept charge - prevents charging a damaged battery.
- 4th stage - soft start. If the battery is not damaged, it starts charging with a relatively low current (about 15%), gradually increasing its value.
- 5th stage - main charging. Charging with maximum constant intensity current, automatically adjusted based on the battery charging state until 80% capacity is reached.
- 6th stage - final charging. Charging with decreasing current and constant voltage until 100% battery capacity is reached.
- 7th stage - analysis. 2-minute battery test - if the battery charge level does not decrease after charging stops, the charging process is complete.
- 8th stage - pulse. Monitoring the battery voltage and maintaining optimal charging at 95–100% capacity using charging current pulses.
