Right-handed scissors are designed and constructed in such a way that they cut right radii (i.e., curves from left to right) effectively. It is often thought that right-handed scissors are for right-handed people, and left-handed scissors are for left-handers. But that is not the case. It is actually the opposite. If a right-hander cuts a radius with right-hand scissors (as mentioned above, from left to right), then the movement will be directed outward from the wrist. And with left-handed scissors (the radius from right to left) - towards the inside of the wrist. This is significantly more ergonomic.
